We were tired of seeing tutoring services treat kids like numbers, matching them with whoever was free and focusing only on grades.
So we built something better: a service that connects families with high-achieving tutors students can look up to, relate to, and rely on. Tutors who get it — because they’ve been there. That’s what makes them more than just tutors. They’re mentors. And it’s what sets Olympus apart.
FOUNDER
Talia Shapiro
Olympus Learning was founded by Talia Shapiro, a former Reddam House student and NSW HSC All-rounder.
She is currently studying a double degree in Commerce and Advanced Computing at the University of Sydney, while also representing Australia in women’s flag football as part of the 2028 Olympic Pathway program.
Having tutored students from Year 1 to HSC for the past 7 years, Talia recognised that being able to really connect with them as individuals was the key to her and ultimately their success.
Talia hand-picks tutors who bring more than just academic excellence. With passions in areas like music, sport, and beyond, they connect with students on a personal level and act as genuine mentors, making learning engaging and fun.
